He’d say how great it was to be home, but he’s unfortunately not cleared to compete… yet. Recently put on the shelf due to injury, he was not on the card for tonight – but was able to get some promo time. Lio Rush Is BACK!įollowing this match, we’d get the shock return of a hometown boy with Lio Rush. The Mad King was dropped on his crown, and that would be enough to give The Stone Pitbull the big victory. Kingston was unable to go right into the pinfall, instead Ishii nailed a lariat and the Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Ishii lifted Kingston up and looked for the brainbuster, before Kingston slipped free and nailed two urakens. Kingston would block a powerbomb attempt, before nailing a DDT – with Ishii not selling this impact before nailing the sliding lariat for a near fall. Ishii ducked the backfist before nailing an enziguri, and levelling Kingston with a lariat. Kingston was able to nail a Uranage, but Ishii was able to kick out at 2.9 – as close as it came so far. They’d trade open hand strikes in the middle of the ring, with a double knockdown in the end. The Stone Pitbull Takes The Mad King Down A chinlock would be applied, but Ishii quickly found the bottom rope. Kingston was able to kick out at one, before catching a dashing Ishii with a lariat. Ishii would be able to nail a saito suplex, dumping Kingston down onto his neck. Kingston would continue to up the ante, and nailed a backfist to the neck. Ishii instead got the ropes, before absorbing the chops of Kingston and coming back twice as hard. Kimura Lock would follow, with Kingston looking to roll Ishii over into a full armbar. Going after the arm of Ishii can take away a lot of his power, but an armlock would not keep Ishii down for long. Some more chops would be thrown, before Ishii was planted with a single arm DDT. Ishii would be able to keep Kingston on the defensive – until a kick to the face fired the Mad King up. A chop to the throat and a shoulder tackle just sent Ishii off the ropes, with him able to come back and drop Kingston. ![]() Kingston was able to stun Ishii, who still refused to budge off a shoulder tackle. These two brawlers would start the match off with a hard exchange of chops in the middle of the ring. A Dream Match For Many Fans – Tomohiro Ishii & Eddie Kingston Strong Style, and even having a fireball thrown at him by Jericho wasn’t stopping Kingston from appearing tonight. Tonight, these two will clash for the first time ever – and very well could tear the house down. Taking two of the hardest hitters in the wrestling industry, and throwing them in the ring is almost a certain way to steal the show. It was not hard to sell fans on a match between Tomohiro Ishii & Eddie Kingston.
